Battle Republic

When the brand that became Battle Republic first came to Telegraph, it was just an idea and a dream. The business concept was not your typical gym—it was about community and fighting for your goals with like-minded, motivated people.

The name needed to communicate grit, strength, confidence and camaraderie. And so, “Battle Republic” was born.

Battle’s logo was designed to be both masculine and feminine, representing fitness and conveying grit and strength.

The visual representation of the brand drove our comprehensive social media strategy for Battle. An edgy, confident photography style helped shape a current, motivational, down-to-earth voice that, when paired with the images, created a full picture of a brand with intentionality behind every element.

“With battle, our branding charge words were ‘fight club meets night club.’ I immediately thought of neon lights and banging tunes. I knew the client would be on board with sharing inspirational lyrics from their favorite artists and quotes from famous boxing champs. We wanted the motivation aspect to carry into their social channels. This was a great place to incorporate neon signage into the work, just as there would be in the actual space. Playing off the star in their logo, I also incorporated the night sky as a texture in the graphics,” – Art and Photography Director Kenslie McGuire
